FARGO—Five adults with special needs are moving into their new home after the grand opening of “Taylor Made Living.”
Monday afternoon, families got to see the first “Taylor Made” house.
“Taylor Made Living” is a new part of the Anne Carlsen Center that helps support individuals with developmental disabilities.
This house is the first of its kind, and will house five adults.
The home has five efficiency apartments, an open living room, and a staff member on duty at all times.
Named after Taylor Nelson, his mom said this type of living will help those with special needs stay independent and safe.
“There are a lot of families who – the families, caretakers, and parents – who are getting older and they really have to find somewhere for their kids to go where they’re supported,” said Jane Nelson, Taylor Made Living.
