Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) – A big day for the Anne Carlsen Center and families who have adult children with special needs.
A special groundbreaking for the “Taylor Made Living” house in Southwest Fargo. The home may be the first of several to come.
It is designed for active adults who have special needs, and are now out of the home and school setting.
For the first 20 years of their lives, special needs children have programs and activities in town and in their classrooms to accommodate their desire to be active. Now adults, this home will help in developing the new phase in their lives.
“We want to help these young people live in an inclusive world where they are part of the community as opposed to something separate,” said Eric Monson, Anne Carlsen Center CEO.
